The Red Wings revealed even more details for its final home opener at Joe Louis Arena on Friday as part of the “Farewell Season at The Joe.”

In addition to the Chevrolet Season Premiere and dual-logo warmup-used pucks that will be made available for purchase, the Wings have announced the following:

Red Wings Walk of Fame unveiled

Much like the Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than 40 winged wheels will be installed on the Joe Louis Arena concourse to honor both past and present Red Wings greats, coaches, front-office executives and even iconic entertainers that performed in the arena over the years.

The Red Wings Walk of Fame can be found between Sections 103-104 and Sections 125-126. Fans are encouraged to take pictures on the Walk of Fame and share on social media with the hashtag #Farewell2TheJoe.

Two giveaways scheduled

All fans in attendance will receive a Gordie Howe poster to honor the late Red Wings’ legend and will be encouraged to hold them up during an in-game tribute during the first period.

A special “Farewell Season at The Joe” rally towel will also be given out to all fans.

“Farewell Season at The Joe” merchandise available

Limited-edition “Farewell Season at The Joe” merchandise will be made available this season, ranging from t-shirts and hats to banners and glassware.

Gordie Howe “9” jersey patch

As seen during the season opener in Tampa, the Red Wings will wear a patch of Gordie Howe’s No. 9 on their jerseys this season, the home opener marking the first time on the red jerseys.

Mr. Hockey’s No. 9 has also been painted on the ice behind both nets in memoriam.

As a reminder to fans, doors open at 5:30 on Monday – two hours in ahead of puck drop – for fans who elect to attend the red carpet event.
