Well that didn’t last long.

The Red Wings announced today that Tyler Bertuzzi has been re-assigned to Grand Rapids.

After being called up on Dec. 8, Bertuzzi played in one game with the Wings, logging a -3 in their loss to St. Louis on Saturday.

What we posted on Dec. 8:

The Red Wings announced today the call-up of one of their top prospects.

Tyler Bertuzzi has been summoned from Grand Rapids.

The 22-year-old was last year’s playoff MVP for the AHL champion Griffins after recording 19 points in 19 games.

Bertuzzi missed the start of the 2017-18 season with an injury, but has posted nine points and 22 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Griffins so far.

A second-round pick of the Wings in 2013, he played in seven games with the NHL club last season for his first experience with Detroit.
