Ivan Lodnia just took one more step toward the NHL on Monday.

The 18-year-old Erie Otters forward inked his three-year, entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild. Lodnia was drafted in the third round by the Wild in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

A Los Angeles, Calif. native, Lodnia called Novi his home during his teenage years, as he developed his game with the likes of Belle Tire and HoneyBaked.

This season, with his Erie Otters in the OHL, Lodnia has posted 33 points in 31 games, leading the club in goals and sitting third in points. He also leads his team in power-play goals (four) and shorthanded goals (two).
