It sounds like the AA drama may be coming to an end.

Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada is reporting that Andreas Athanasiou and the Detroit Red Wings are closing in on a one-year agreement.

The 23-year-old restricted free agent forward and the team had been substantially apart in contract negotiations.

In 101 career NHL games, Athanasiou has 27 goals and 16 assists for 43 total points.
