USA Hockey announced a roster cut for the World Junior Summer Showcase today, bringing the U.S. roster from 42 to 34 players.
“As a staff, we have been very pleased with the level of intensity and competitiveness we’ve seen so far,” said Jim Johannson, general manager of the 2018 U.S. National Junior Team and also assistant executive director of hockey operations for USA Hockey, in a release. “It’s evident there is depth at every position and that is certainly a big positive as we continue the evaluation process the rest of this week and throughout the fall.”
