Two players hailing from The Great Lakes State will be on next year’s USA Hockey National Team Development Program Under-17 Team roster.

Birmingham native Ryder Rolston and Walled Lake native Alex Turcotte have been selected for the prestigious two-year training program in Plymouth.

Both come from hockey families; Rolston is the son of former NHLer Brian Rolston and nephew of Ron Rolston, while Turcotte’s dad Alfie played pro hockey and his grandfather, Real, is a MSU alum and famed hockey instructor.

Other notable names on the NTDP roster include:

Danny Weight – Son of Michigan great Doug Weight

Jack Hughes – Brother of NTDP/Wolverines defenseman Quinn Hughes, was expected to be top pick in the OHL Draft if he did not choose the NTDP
