The Grand Rapids Griffins could have a new face in the lineup as they prepare for their AHL’s Central Division Semifinal, beginning Friday.

The Detroit Red Wings announced the signing of forward Christoffer Ehn to a three-year entry-level contract on Thursday.

Ehn, who just turned 21 on April 5, has spent the past two seasons with Frolunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League. This past season, he posted 13 points in 52 games.

The 6-foot-3, 181-pound centerman is currently with Grand Rapids.

Ehn was originally the Wings’ fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
