Red Wings call up Mitch Callahan

The Red Wings announced this morning that they have called up forward Mitch Callahan from Grand Rapids.

Callahan, 25, has played in 53 games with the Griffins this season, logging 36 points and 32 penalty minutes.

A sixth-round pick of the Wings in 2009, Callahan made his NHL debut on March 25, 2014 in Columbus – his lone appearance with Detroit.
