The hockey journey for Marshall Bowery will continue with his friend Max Harper.

The duo played together at Rochester United, and now with the Topeka Roadrunners of the NAHL.

Soon, they’ll be skating together at Air Force.

Bowery announced on Wednesday that he has committed to the U.S. Air Force Academy; Harper committed to the same program in January.

For the Rochester Hills native, it was an easy decision.

“I chose Air Force not only because they have an incredible hockey program and coaching staff, but because it is a fantastic school academically,” Bowery told MiHockey. “The people who go there turn out to be incredibly successful within a variety of job careers.”

Bowery, a high school hockey Dream Team selection in 2015, knows he’s going to better himself on and off the ice during his time with Air Force.

“The academy provides opportunity in many aspects – I think the academy will allow me to grow exponentially as a man of character and as a hockey player,” Bowery said. “I am beyond excited to continue my hockey career at such a fantastic program.”

Bowery was an invitee for the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament this past February in Plymouth. This season, he has 38 points in 50 games with the Roadrunners.
