Justin Misiak has found his next hockey team, and he will be coming back to his home state.

The St. Clair Shores native and forward with the NAHL’s Austin Bruins has committed to Michigan Tech.

“It’s exciting to be committed,” Misiak said, via the NAHL. “It’s a dream come true. All the hard work has finally paid off.”

Misiak, a Little Caesars alum, has 48 points in 46 games this season with the Bruins – his second campaign with the NAHL club.

The Bruins have done a lot for me. My coaches and teammates are a big part of this,” he said. “[They’re] always helping me out and pushing me to be a better player and person every day. The staff is great and I can’t thank them enough.”

The help has led to Misiak securing a spot with a D1 college hockey program.

“I love the education Tech offers,” Misiak said. “It’s a great school and they have a great hockey program.”
