Austin Alger is coming home.

The Livonia native and Miami RedHawks commit has been acquired by the Muskegon Lumberjacks, the USHL franchise announced today.

“Alger is a solid three-zone player that provides the scoring punch we need,” said general manager John Vanbiesbrouck via a release from the team. “He can play both wing and center, and will be a valuable addition to Muskegon.”

The Lumberjacks send affiliate player Andy Nedeljkovic and two draft picks to the Omaha Lancers in exchange for Alger.

The draft picks are a third-round pick Muskegon acquired in a trade that sent Scooter Brickey to Des Moines, and the second is Muskegon’s sixth-round pick in 2018.

Alger, who has 12 goals and 12 assists this past season, is a product of Cranbrook Kingswood. He played four seasons for the Cranes after playing for Honeybaked in bantams.
