On Friday night, Muskegon Lumberjacks goaltender Keith Petruzzelli’s name appeared in an unusual spot on the scoresheet.

The goal column.

The ‘Jacks netminder fired the puck the length of the ice into the opposing team’s empty net in the closing seconds of his team’s 4-1 victory over the Madison Capitols.

 

Petruzzelli, a native of Wilbraham, Mass., also posted 23 saves in the victory – his 16th win of the season. He holds a 2.47 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage on the year, as he has played himself into the position of top-ranked North American netminder for the 2017 NHL Draft, according to NHL Central Scouting.
