Valentino Passarelli will be heading down to Ohio for his college hockey experience.

The Honeybaked midget minor forward announced today that he has committed to Enrico Blasi and the Miami RedHawks.

“A couple reasons I picked Miami was because my team had a showcase there about a month ago and I loved everything about it,” Passarelli told MiHockey. “The facilities there were unreal and it just felt like home. Also the campus was unreal I loved it, but overall it just felt like home and there was no way I could turn it down.”

Passarelli, a Macomb native and student at the Total Package Hockey Center of Excellence, was drafted by the Fargo Force in the USHL’s Phase 1 Draft last May, going No. 7 in the seventh round.

He has eight points in 12 High Performance Hockey League games so far this season.

“I know the journey is just now starting, but I can’t be more excited to start!”
