The OHL picked two Erie Otters forwards to be the league’s co-players of the month, and one of them is a familiar name for Michigan’s hockey audience.

Farmington Hills native Alex DeBrincat will be sharing the montly award with teammate Taylor Raddysh, the OHL announced today.

DeBrincat, a Chicago Blackhawks draftee, recorded 14 points and 13 assists for an impressive 27 points over 12 games. He had a pair of five-point nights, the first coming in a 7-3 win over Kitchener on Nov. 5, and the second coming on a 9-2 win over Mississauga last Tuesday.

He currently leads the OHL with 26 goals on the season, and his 51 points puts him only behind Raddysh (55) in the league overall scoring race.
