Jamie Phillips is already making waves in his first season of pro hockey.

The Michigan Tech alum has posted a 6-0-0 record with his Tulsa Oilers – ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets – in October to begin his career, with a 2.44 goals-against average and .918 save percentage. Phillips allowed two goals or less in three of his six appearances, including a 42-save performance in a 3-2 win over the Allen Americans on Oct. 25.

A native of Caledonia, Ontario and former seventh-round pick of Winnipeg in 2012, Phillips ranks first in the entire ECHL in wins and fourth among rookie netminders in goals-against average.

Prior to joining the ECHL, Phillips spent four years at Michigan Tech, including a 28-9-2 record, 1.74 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in 2014-15 en route to a Mike Richter Award nomination. He finished his collegiate career with 57 wins.
