Chalk up another first NHL goal for another Michigan native this season.

Shelby Township native and Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor found the back of the net for the first of his NHL career in the first period of Thursday night’s game against the Dallas Stars.

Connor, 19, was the 17th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Much like the Red Wings’ Dylan Larkin, Connor played one season at the University of Michigan, scoring a staggering 35 goals and 71 points before moving onto the pro ranks.

In five prior games this season, Connor had tallied one assist for the Jets.
