Ulrich named NAHL central division star of the week

The NAHL has announced its stars of the week for the week ending on Oct. 23, and one Michigan native was featured on the list.

Will Ulrich was named the league’s central star of the week after the goaltender posted a pair of home victories over the weekend for his Bismarck Bobcats.

The Birmingham native allowed just three goals in the two wins, stopping 74 of the 77 shots that came his way.

On the season, Ulrich’s 92.9 save percentage ranks seventh in the NAHL.

“Will had a great weekend and showed a lot of talent in making some big saves to help us get four points at home,” said Bismarck head coach Layne Sedevie. “Just as importantly, he has started to show the veteran leadership we knew he could bring when we made the trade for him in May.”
