Recruiting: Matt Barnaby commits to Lake Superior State

The Lake Superior State Lakers just secured a verbal commitment from a player with a very familiar name to hockey enthusiasts.

Matt Barnaby, son of the former NHLer and hockey commentator Matthew Barnaby, announced today on Twitter that he has committed to LSSU.

“The coaching staff and the facilities are awesome,” he told MiHockey. “I believe that LSSU will be the best place to develop and further my hockey career.

Matt Barnaby, a Buffalo native, is currently playing for the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CCHL.
