Collin Adams had himself quite a weekend, and the USHL took notice.

It was announced today that the Muskegon Lumberjacks forward was named the USHL forward of the week, after Adams lit up the scoresheet against Cedar Rapids.

The Brighton native scored two goals in both of the road contests to help his Lumberjacks squad to the first weekend sweep on the road against the RoughRiders in Muskegon franchise history.

Add in an assist on the weekend, and Adams – a New York Islanders draft pick and North Dakota commit – is currently tied for the USHL lead in scoring and second in goal-scoring.

“Adams played strong both games, didn’t take a shift off, worked hard at both ends and it was good to see him rewarded with his offensive output,” coach John LaFontaine said in a release. “He really played strong for us all weekend.”
