The state of Michigan wasn’t represented in the first edition of the USHL players of the week list, but Robbie Beydoun fixed that for Week 2.

The Plymouth native, now tending to the pipes for the Waterloo Black Hawks after spending 2014-16 with Fargo, is off to a strong start with his new team, and the USHL front office took notice. Beydoun was named the league’s goaltender of the week after back-to-back road wins over the weekend.

Beydoun stopped 27 shots against his former team in Fargo Friday night to record the third shutout of his USHL career. He followed that performance with another stellar outing on Saturday, stopping 31 of the 33 shots the Sioux Falls Stampede sent his way.

Beydoun, currently not committed to an NCAA program, played for the Michigan Warriors of the NAHL and Compuware before joining the USHL ranks.
