MAHA announces new disabled hockey directors

The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association announced today their new directors of disabled hockey – Marie Sly and Louis Lombardo.

Sly is the executive director of the West Michigan Special Hockey Association, as well as vice president of the board of directors for the WMSHA.

She has also been appointed the Michigan representative for USA Hockey’s Disabled Section and will represent the state and MAHA at all USA Hockey meetings moving forward.

Lombardo, meanwhile, holds 15 years of management experience in the ice industry as a general manager and regional manager for Rink Management Services. He has worked with the Special Olympics, the Wounded Warrior Project and with Veterans Affairs Hospitals to bring disabled skating and hockey to various rinks in the U.S.
