Fox Sports Detroit announced today the network’s broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2016-17 Red Wings season.

FSD will broadcast 71 regular-season games, as well as three preseason games, for the Wings’ “Farewell Season at The Joe” campaign.

Regular-season broadcasts begin with the Oct. 13 season opener in Tampa Bay. There will be a special one-hour Red Wings LIVE before puck drop.

The preseason broadcast schedule features the Wings’ Sept. 30 game vs. Boston, the Oct. 5 game vs. Pittsburgh and the Oct. 8 game vs. Toronto.

All 82 regular-season Red Wings contests will be broadcasted by FSD, NBC or NBCSN. Twelve of the FSD broadcasts will appear on Fox Sports Plus.

“We are looking forward to getting this new season started and celebrating the Farewell to the Joe season,” said Greg Hammaren, senior vice president/general manager of FOX Sports Detroit. “The Ilitch family’s commitment to the Red Wings and Detroit compels us to bring our best effort each and every night.”

Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond return for another season, as well as Red Wings LIVE studio analysts Chris Osgood and Darren Eliot. Osgood and Eliot will also serve as game analysts for select road games this season.
