Four Michigan girls invited to 2016 U.S. Women’s National Festival

On Friday, USA Hockey announced the 95 players invited to its 2016 U.S. Women’s National Festival, and four hail from Michigan.

The festival, which runs from Aug. 8-14, is an annual training event used to select two 22-girl rosters for a pair of series against rival Canada from Aug. 17-21 in Calgary. The U.S. will field a team comprised of Under-18 Select Team and a Under-22 Select Team.

The Michigan natives invited:

Shiann Darkangelo – Forward – Brighton – Connecticut Whale (NWHL)

Delaney Drake – Forward – Traverse City – Leland High School

Megan Keller – Defense – Farmington – Boston College

Abby Roque – Forward – Sault Sainte Marie – Sault Area High School
