25 Michigan names appear on NHL Futures List for ’17 Draft
By @MichaelCaples –
While a select few hockey players are still celebrating the fact that they were selected in the 2016 Draft, NHL Central Scouting has already been hard at work preparing for next year’s class.
Released at midnight was the league’s annual ‘Futures List’ – a collection of names that scouts will be keeping an eye on throughout the upcoming season as teams prepare for the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago.
The list – in alphabetical order with no grading system yet to be applied for individual players – certainly does not mean the players listed below will be the only ones drafted, or that all of the names on the list will even be claimed by NHL clubs next June.
However, it gives the hockey world a list to start from as we prepare for the 2016-17 season.
