One of the Red Wings’ homegrown products will be staying in Hockeytown for another season.

East Lansing native Drew Miller has signed a one-year extension with Detroit, the team announced today.

Miller, 32, played in 28 games with the Wings this past season, recording one goal and one assist. He was placed on injured reserve in January after a torn meniscus in his knee, which followed a jaw injury earlier in the season.

Miller has totaled 100 points in 449 games with the Red Wings since joining the team in 2009-10.

In 516 career games with the Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks and Tampa Bay Lightning, the forward has registered 115 points and 118 penalty minutes. He has skated in 60 playoff games.

Prior to an injury plagued 2015-16 season, he appeared in all 82 games for Detroit in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.
