Public funeral service for Ron Mason to take place at Munn Ice Arena on Thursday

On Thursday, hockey fans will be able to pay their respects to Ron Mason and his family at Munn Ice Arena.

There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the ice arena Mason ran as head coach of the Michigan State Spartans for more than two decades. Prior to that, there will be a public viewing beginning at 11 a.m. on the ice at Munn.

Parking for the visitation and funeral service will be at Parking Ramp 5, located behind the Communication Arts and Sciences Building, with shuttle service to Munn Ice Arena. Shuttles will begin at 10:30 a.m. and run to 4 p.m.
