On Friday, some of the best goaltenders in the country will arrive at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth to take part in the annual Warren Strelow National Goaltending Camp.

The ninth annual camp – named in honor of Warren Strelow, a former NHL goalie coach who served in the same role for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team – brings together elite goaltenders to work on both the physical and mental aspects of goaltending.

USA Hockey’s National Team goaltending coach Kevin Reiter will lead the camp; Reiter will be joined by former Red Wings goaltender Ty Conklin, American Development Model manager of youth goaltending and Livonia native Phil Osaer, Muskegon Lumberjacks GM and former NHL goaltender John Vanbiesbrouck and many others.

The State of Michigan leads the way with the number of goalies invited to the camp.
