Todd Krygier is going to be coaching against his son next season.

The USHL announced today that Christian Krygier, son of Muskegon Lumberjacks head coach Todd Krygier, has signed a league tender with the Lincoln Stars.

“I wanted to take the next step in my career and Lincoln is a great place to do that,” Krygier said in a release from the Stars. “It’s a great organization and I have a lot of respect for the players and staff.”

Krygier, a product of the Compuware and Little Caesars AAA programs, is the first tendered player in Lincoln franchise history.

“Christian fits the mold in Lincoln,’ Stars GM Jon Hull said. “We feel with his abrasive style he will become an asset to the organization and a pro prospect as well.”

The 6-foot, 161-pound defenseman recorded seven points in 22 High Performance Hockey League games with Little Caesars this past season.
