College All-Americans announced; Connor wins Rookie of the Year

Major college hockey awards are being announced tonight, and there are plenty of Michigan names receiving recognition.

Congrats to this year’s All-Americans, as selected by the American Hockey Coaches Association:

First Team West
Tyler Motte – Michigan (St. Clair)
Kyle Connor – Michigan (Shelby Township)
Zach Werenski – Michigan (Grosse Pointe)

Second Team West
Alex Petan – Michigan Tech
JT Compher – Michigan
Cam Johnson – North Dakota (Troy)

A second congratulations are in order for Kyle Connor, as well, as the Michigan freshman forward was named the national rookie of the year.
