Kyle Connor named player of the year, rookie of the year and B1G scoring champion

The accolades continue to pour in for Kyle Connor.

Less than a year after he was named USHL and USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year, the Shelby Township native has now been named Player of the Year by the Big Ten.

Connor, 19, was named Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and the B1G’s scoring champion today, after the rookie forward led the conference with 43 points and 22 goals in Big Ten play.

The Youngstown Phantoms product has 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points in 34 games this season, and he is expected to receive national recognition in the coming months.
