The Big Ten has announced its weekly stars list, and the conference was clearly paying attention to the State of Michigan’s rivalry weekend.

All three of this week’s spots went to members of Michigan and Michigan State, after the two schools split their weekend series.

St. Clair native and Michigan forward Tyler Motte claimed the first star, while teammate Steve Racine claimed the second star. Chelsea native and Michigan State forward Joe Cox was named the third star, as well.

Motte, a NTDP product, recorded two goals in Friday’s game at Joe Louis Arena (MSU prevailed 3-2 in overtime), then added one goal and one assist in a 4-1 win in East Lansing the next night.

Racine, a Williamsville, N.Y. native, stopped 38 shots on Friday, and 33 more in his road victory on Saturday.

Cox, meanwhile, scored both of the Spartans’ regulation goals on Friday before Matt DeBlouw scored the game-winner in overtime.
