Berschbach named CCM/ECHL Player of the Month

Clawson native Shane Berschbach had quite a month with the Toledo Walleye.

The 24-year-old forward was named the CCM/ECHL Player of the Month for January yesterday, after Berschbach racked up eight goals and 12 assists in 12 games.

Berschbach played to a +11 rating during the timeframe, as well, as the Walleye posted a 10-2-0 record.

The Western Michigan product – he posted 117 points in 146 career NCAA games – scored at least one point in 11 of his 12 games this month, while recording seven multi-point games.

He had an impressive finish, as well – recording two-point games in four of the Walleye’s final five games of January.
