USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Under-17 Team is in the process of getting used to playing against older competition.

The U17s play in the USHL, which routinely puts them up against players two or three (or more) years older than they are.

When they take the ice at USA Hockey Arena next Tuesday, however, they’re going to see even older competition (not that we’re calling the opponent old, or anything).

The U17s will play the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association on Nov. 24, with a puck drop slated for 7 p.m. The game is taking place as a fundraising effort for the Plymouth-Canton Marching Band, a group looking to participate in the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 1, 2016.

Tickets are $10 and all seating for the game is general admission. You can reserve tickets by calling the USA Hockey Arena box office at (734) 453-8400 or by going online here.
