Report: Claude Lemieux to play in the Avalanche vs. Red Wings alumni game

The Hockey News is reporting that Hockeytown’s greatest villain will take on the Red Wings once again.

Claude Lemieux – best known for cross-checking Kris Draper from behind to begin a decade-long rivalry between the Avalanche and Wings – will suit up for the Colorado squad in the alumni game before the two teams clash outdoors at Soldier Field.

The official rosters have yet to be released for the Feb. 26 Stadium Series alumni game, but, one of the rivalry’s most famous individuals will apparently be in attendance.
