Red Wings announce HockeyFest alumni list, special event for Probert

Fans attending the Red Wings’ 2015 edition of HockeyFest will have an opportunity to meet some notable Detroit alumni on Sept. 13.

The following players will be in attendance during the Wings’ annual HockeyFest celebration at Joe Louis Arena to kick off the 2015-16 NHL season:

  • Daniel Alfredsson
  • Jimmy Carson
  • Joe Kocur
  • Darren McCarty
  • Eddie Mio
  • Larry Murphy
  • John Ogrodnick

Kocur and McCarty will also celebrate the life of Bob Probert during a question-and-answer session at this year’s HockeyFest. This summer marks the fifth anniversary of Probert’s death. Probert’s wife, Dani, will take part in the Q&A session, while artist David Arrigo will be in attendance to paint a one-of-a-kind mask that will be part of a silent auction to benefit the Bob Probert Memorial Ride.
