Red Wings announce alumni game, ticket info for Stadium Series game with Avalanche

The Detroit Red Wings announced today ticket information for their upcoming Stadium Series game with the Colorado Avalanche – and that there will be an alumni game.

Red Wings and Avalanche alumni will square off outdoors at Coors Field on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. ET/5 p.m. MT.

An official roster has yet to be released, but the press release says the game “will feature many of the Avalanche and Red Wings players who competed for those organizations from 1996-2002 when the teams faced each other in the Stanley Cup Playoffs five times, and combined to win five Stanley Cup championships.”

The Red Wings and Avalanche will play as part of the 2016 Coors Light Stadium Series on Saturday, Feb. 27 – puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

A limited number of tickets for the Stadium Series game will go on sale the week of Aug. 10 as part of a special offer to Avalanche season-ticket holders, suite holders and sponsors. Colorado Rockies VIP customers will have access on Aug. 17.

An exclusive offer for Detroit Red Wings season-ticket holders will begin on Monday, Aug. 24.

The special pre-sale package offerings are a ticket for both the alumni game and the official NHL game.
