Strelow National Team Goaltending Camp starts today – eight Michigan names invited

The eighth annual Warren Strelow National Team Goaltending Camp, which features many of the top U.S. goaltenders eligible for international competition in various age groups, begins today in Ann Arbor.

The four-day camp, named after the late Warren Strelow – a former NHL goalie coach who served in the same role for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team – covers both the physical and mental aspects of goaltending for some of the nation’s best.

Eight Michigan names have been invited to the camp. They are:

Corbin Kaczperski – 1996 birth-year – China Township, Mich. – Belle Tire Midget Major

Cullen Barber – 1997 birth-year – Livonia, Mich. – Livonia Stevenson High School

Ryan Bednard – 1997 birth-year – Macomb, Mich. – Johnstown Tomahawks (NAHL)

Ryan Larkin – 1997 birth-year – Clarkston, Mich. – Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL)

Nick Donofrio – 1999 birth-year – Ypsilanti, Mich. – Compuware Midget Minor

Dylan St. Cyr – 1999 birth-year – Northville, Mich. – Honeybaked Midget Minor

Kyle Keyser – 1999 birth-year – Coral Springs, Fla. – Victory Honda Midget minor

Tyler Johnson – 1998 birth-year – Amherst, N.Y. – Plymouth Whalers (OHL)
