It went down to the wire, but the Lumberjacks came out on top.

In a winner-take-all Game 5 of the USHL’s Eastern Conference Finals, Muskegon prevailed 4-3 over the Fighting Saints in Dubuque, Iowa, last night.

Thanks to a pair of goals from Max Humitz (Livonia) and a 39-save outing from Eric Schierhorn, the Lumberjacks bounced back from a disappointing 6-0 loss in potential series-ending Game 4 in Muskegon on Saturday, instead finalizing their second-straight series upset on the road last night.
