The ECHL announced their all-league first and second teams today, honoring the top performers in the 2014-15 season.

St. Clair Shores native Shawn Szydlowski was the lone Michigan native to crack the All-ECHL first team. Szydlowski, an Erie Otters alum, posted 38 goals and 35 assists for the Fort Wayne Komets this year, while also playing to a +38 rating.

Meanwhile, Livonia native Jeff Lerg was named the goaltender for the All-ECHL second team. The Toledo Walleye netminder has racked up a 31-8-3 record with a 2.32 goals-against average and .921 save percentage this season. Lerg, a Michigan State alum, is tied for the league lead with those 31 wins.

Joining Lerg on the All-ECHL second team is Detroit native Cameron Burt. The R.I.T. alum is one of two defensemen on the second team, after he recorded six goals and 41 assists for 47 points and an impressive +35 rating. Burt is currently with the Florida Everblades.

Gary Steffes also cracked the All-ECHL second team. The Miami alum and Grand Blanc native scored 44 goals and 29 assists for 73 points and a +31 rating during the 2014-15 season with the Allen Americans.
