Five Michigan names honored as AHCA/CCM Men’s D1 All-Americans

On the eve of the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Division I National Championship Game, the top individual performers in college hockey are being honored for outstanding seasons.

Five Michigan names have been selected by the American Hockey Coaches’ Association as CCM Hockey Men’s Division I All-Americans:

First Team

Jake Hildebrand, JR, Michigan State University (Butler, PA)

Hildebrand, the Spartans’ leader between the pipes, was a Mike Richter Award nominee after posting a 2.18 goals-against average and .930 save percentage and playing in 99.2 percent of MSU’s games in 2014-15.

Zach Hyman, SR, University of Michigan (Toronto, ON)

Hyman, the Wolverines’ top scorer on the season, racked up 22 goals and 32 assists for 54 points in 37 games.

Tanner Kero, SR, Michigan Tech University (Hancock, MI)

Kero, the Huskies’ captain and leading scorer, registered 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points in 41 games during a season that saw Michigan Tech return to national prominence.

Second Team

Austin Czarnik, SR, Miami University (Washington, MI)

Czarnik only scored nine goals this season, but his 36 assists still gave him an impressive 45 points on the season.

Dylan Larkin, FR, University of Michigan (Waterford, MI)

Larkin was one of only two freshmen to receive All-American honors for the 2014-15 season, joining Boston University’s Jack Eichel (first team) on the list. The Red Wings’ draft pick recorded 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points in 35 games.
