EA Sports has released the results of the 2015 NHL Playoffs – according to their simulators.

The NHL 15 simulations say that the Red Wings will pull off a first-round upset, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.

Then, according to the video game franchise, the Wings will lose to the Montreal Canadiens in the second round in five games.

According to EA Sports, the Anaheim Ducks will be the team claiming Lord Stanley’s Cup; the New York Rangers will take Ryan Getzlaf and Co. all the way to a Game 7 before the Ducks finish them off.

However, the EA Sports simulators have yet to accurately predict a Stanley Cup champion in their seven previous tries. As Yahoo points out, the closest they came to calling things correctly was when they picked the Vancouver Canucks to win it all, and they at least reached the Stanley Cup Final.

We’re not sure what that means for the Red Wings, since EA Sports does have them winning their first-round series. Only time will tell if this is the year they got it right.
