The North American Hockey League announced their All-Rookie Teams for the 2014-15 season today, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.

In a new addition for this season, the NAHL has also picked All-Rookie Teams for each of their four divisions.

Players who have not played in a junior league prior to the 2014-15 season (any junior league in any location) or entered the season having played in less than 10 NAHL regular-season games were eligible for All-Rookie honors, and four Michigan natives were recognized by the league today.

Macomb native Ryan Bednard was named to the All-NAHL Rookie Second Team, after an exceptional season with the Johnstown Tomahawks. Bednard, a Bowling Green commit, has posted a .913 save percentage and a 2.66 goals-against average this season.

Kalamazoo native Keegan Miller, a member of the Soo Eagles, was named to the North Division All-Rookie Team. Miller racked up 16 goals and 21 assists in his first 51 NAHL contests, along with 54 penalty minutes.

Joining Miller on the North Division All-Rookie Team roster is Detroit native Lord-Anthony Grissom. The Keystone Ice Miners defenseman recorded three goals and 11 assists in 55 games, while picking up 40 penalty minutes along the way.

Topeka RoadRunners forward Tyler Irvine was recognized on the South Division All-Rookie Team. Irvine, a Livonia native, recorded 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points in 57 games this season, along with an impressive +17 rating.
