The NHL trade deadline has officially passed, which means it’s time to analyze who went where.

Here is our look at some notable trades, involving either Michigan’s hometown team or players who hold a Michigan connection (transactions that have been made official on the NHL official website):

James Wisniewski
Columbus → Anaheim

The Canton native and Plymouth Whalers alum was involved in one of the final deals, as Wisniewski is heading to Anaheim, while Rene Bourque, William Karlsson and a 2015 second-round pick are heading to Columbus.

Ian Cole

St. Louis → Pittsburgh

Cole, an Ann Arbor native, goes from a Western Conference contender to an Eastern Conference contender in this trade, with St. Louis collecting Robert Bortuzzo and a 2016 seventh-round pick in return.

Jeff Petry

Edmonton → Montreal

The Ann Arbor native and Michigan State alum is surely thrilled about this one, as Petry escapes Edmonton and lands on a Original Six club and Stanley Cup contender. The Canadiens sacrificed a 2015 second-round pick and a 2015 conditional fifth-round pick in the deal.

Erik Cole
Dallas → Detroit

The Red Wings picked up a veteran talent in Cole, who will bring some scoring punch to the Red Wings’ line-up as they gear up for a postseason run. In return, the Wings send Mattias Backman and Mattias Janmark – along with a second-round pick – to Dallas.

Chris Summers
Arizona → New York Rangers

Summers, an Ann Arbor native, NTDP alum and Wolverines alum, was part of the big Keith Yandle trade, as two Arizona blue-liners head to New York in exchange for John Moore, Anthony Duclair, a 2016 conditional first-round pick and a 2015 second-round pick.

Tim Gleason
Carolina → Washington

Clawson native Tim Gleason is joining Alex Ovechkin in Washington, after the Capitals gave up Jack Hillen and a fourth-round pick to obtain his services.

Marek Zidlicky
New Jersey Detroit

Zidlicky is the right-handed defenseman the Wings chose as their trade deadline acquisition; the veteran blue-liner only cost the Wings a single mid-round draft pick and he brings experience to the defensive core.
