The Big Ten announced their stars of the week today, and two of the three play for the Maize and Blue.

Michigan goaltender Steve Racine claimed the top spot, after he led the Wolverines to a weekend sweep of the Wisconsin Badgers.

Racine, a Williamsville, N.Y., native, stopped all 22 shots he faced Friday night for his first career NCAA shutout. He followed that up with 26 saves on Saturday.

Meanwhile, his teammate JT Compher picked up the conference’s second star, after he picked up four goals on the weekend. Compher, a Northbrook, Ill., native and U.S. NTDP product, scored an empty-netter on Friday, then exploded for a hat trick on Saturday, including the game-winning goal.

Michigan is 5-0-0 on the season when Compher finds the back of the net.

Ohio State’s Tanner Fritz picked up the third star in the B1G weekly announcement.
