The Big Ten announced their weekly stars today, and the Wolverines and Spartans claimed all three spots.

Michigan freshman Dylan Larkin was named the conference’s first star, after the Red Wings’ draftee racked up six points in two games against Ohio State over the weekend. His linemate Zach Hyman claimed the second star, after he also picked up six points over the weekend.

Michigan State goaltender Jake Hildebrand was named the third star after recording a .959 save percentage in a weekend series split at Wisconsin.

For Larkin, it was his fourth weekly award. The Waterford native recorded one goal and one assist on Friday’s game in Columbus, then picked up one goal and three assists in the Wolverines’ 5-2 win Sunday in Ann Arbor. Larkin now ranks second in the nation among freshmen and fourth among all players with 1.46 points per game.

Hyman recorded the same points totals in both games, en route to his fourth weekly award of the season, as well. He leads all Big Ten players with 43 points.

Hildebrand’s performances in Wisconsin earned him his eighth career Big Ten weekly award, which leads the conference. He picked up a shutout on Saturday – his fourth of the season and second in the last four games. Hildebrand leads all goaltenders in conference play with a .937 save percentage, 1.98 goals-against average and three shutouts.
