Three Michigan natives, two Griffins named to AHL All-Star rosters

The American Hockey League announced the rosters for the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic, and three Michigan natives will be taking on a pair of Grand Rapids Griffins on Jan. 25-26.

The All-Star Classic, which features the All-Star Skills Competition at 8 p.m. on Jan. 25 and the All-Star Game at 7 p.m. on Jan. 26, will be held in Utica, N.Y.

The Michigan natives and Grand Rapids Griffins chosen are:

Eastern Conference

Connor Hellebuyck – Commerce – St. John’s IceCaps

Jeff Zatkoff – Detroit – Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

Matt Taormina – Warren – Worcester Sharks

Western Conference

Xavier Ouellet – Grand Rapids Griffins

Teemu Pulkkinen – Grand Rapids Griffins
