Last night, Team USA topped Canada in overtime.

The win gave the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team the gold medal at the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women’s World Championship at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo.

Captain Jincy Dunne (O’Fallon, Mo.) scored the goal that secured the win for the American squad just 51 seconds into overtime, sending a wrist shot into the back of Team Canada’s net to break a 2-2 tie.

Here are the highlights:

Sault Ste. Marie native Abby Roque, who scored a game-winning goal in a shootout against Canada earlier in the tournament, finished with two assists in five games, along with an impressive plus-six rating.

The win capped a perfect 5-0 record for Team USA, with wins over Canada (2-1 in a shootout), the Czech Republic (3-0), Russia (7-1), the Czech Republic in the semifinals (5-0) and then the gold-medal game victory over Canada.
