Novi native Bryan Rust gets pranked by Penguins teammates, has clothes hung from rafters

Before the start of the season, Novi native Bryan Rust told MiHockey how excited he was to sign his first NHL contract.

His Pittsburgh Penguins teammates recently reminded him, however, that he’s still a rookie.

The Honeybaked and NTDP alum had his clothes hung from the rafters during a practice at the CONSOL Energy Center by his Penguins teammates, and according to the article on the team’s official site, it took a few minutes for him to realize what had happened.

“I looked up and knew it was mine because I’m pretty sure I’m the only one with those shoes on the team,” laughed Rust, in his first professional season after four years at Notre Dame. “I was kind of just skating around laughing. It’s just one of those things where you’re a rookie, so things are going to happen. It’s all in good fun.”
