PHOTOS: D&D squad captures inaugural Midget A split season playoff title

The first Midget A ‘split season’ came to a close this past weekend, with D&D topping the Troy Sting to capture a playoff title in the pilot program. The D&D squad will now compete in the traditional Midget A state playoffs for a chance at an official state championship crown. The new ‘split season’ allows for players to play in a traditional travel hockey setting up until the end of October and then join their respective high school programs. They will reconvene for the state playoffs in March after the conclusion of their high school season. For more information on the split season pilot program, click here.
