Red Wings trim roster by nine players

The Detroit Red Wings made another series of roster cuts today, bringing their NHL roster down to 25 players.

Eight of the nine players moved today are expected in Grand Rapids, including captain Jeff Hoggan, who was with the Wings on a tryout basis.
